Homecoming 2012

Starting the night off with the traditional parade, the cheerleaders got the crowd excited by cheering and throwing out candy.
The freshman football team representing with their float. Brian is riding on the inside.

Tailgating was a feast of hot dogs, chips, snow cones, cotton candy, root beer floats, face painting, and hanging out with friends.
Nadia, Brian, Thomas, Corbin, and a couple other teammates of Brian.
Brian getting in the spirit with the face paint and Nadia getting the crowd excited for the start of the game.
An awesome team stunt. Nadia is the flyer on the left flipping the flyer in the middle of her stunt group.
 And they rocked it!
Varsity and JV squads cheer together for Homecoming.

After every homecoming game, they burn the "M."
The next day was the Homecoming dance. Nadia picked out a beautiful dress, and got her hair done. She looked gorgeous.

Nadia went with friends Peighton, Lexi and Lexi's cousin.
The cheerleaders are in charge of putting on the Homecoming dance, and with that comes all the decorating. Here is the entrance into the dance.
The theme was A Night at the Chocolate Factory. They had to go over a candy bridge to get on the dance floor.
Inside were lollipops, and gum drops,
 and a chocolate river
 and of course the d.j.
At the end of the night, they drop the balloons.
This was my view for most of the night. I chaperoned in the food area. The cheerleaders all brought treats to give out. The kids were so surprised that they were free. Overall the kids were very polite. It was a fun, but tiring experience. I loved seeing all the dresses. After the dance, all the cheerleaders and their parents had to stay to clean up. It took months of preparation to put this dance together and only 1 hour to tear it all apart. Glad to be done for another year.
